My review...
I admit it. I don’t like to wait, and I bet I’m not alone.
And, I know it’s an area I need to work on. So when I saw this book, and the
fact that it’s a devotional journal, I was excited to read it. It was what I was
hoping for … and more. I look forward to adding it to my daily devotional time.
This is a hardcover book with a ribbon bookmark. The layout
has two pages for each day for journaling. The first page has a Scripture
verse. The second page has a very short devotional message, along with a few
questions for the reader to ponder then journal on. It would work to go
straight through the book, but it would work to jump around to choose questions
that are relevant to you on that day. There is ample space to journal about the
Bible verse, as well as about the reflection questions.
Some questions include:
- What’s the hardest part about waiting?
- As you wait, what insecurities are you facing in your walk with God?
- Which of Satan’s lies do you wrestle with most?
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy from Barbour
Publishing, but I wasn’t required to leave a review.
